How can someone earn an ADN (associates of nursing degree) through distance learning, i.e. online?

I have been looking for an answer to this question for awhile. I have an aquaintance who's friend is earning her nursing degree by doing the book work online and going to a classroom for only the clinical part. Does anyone have info on how to sign up w/ a school that offers this?
