would i like a nursing career?

I am considering changing my career to nursing but want to hear from others in the profession about how much they like it, what are the pro's and con's, the hours, and of course how is the salary and vacation time. also, is it a bad idea to get an associates and go back later for a bachelor's? i am older so i would ike to start working in the career sooner than later. i am bilingual ad have a degree in education.
