How do you become a nurse (RN)?

I already have a BS in physical therapy but have recently decided to become a nurse instead. What are the paths I have to take to get there. I have heard that since I already have my BS that it would only be 2 years but some sites said that its 4 years to get your BSN, do I even need to have my BSN? Any and all info is appreciated.
