What academics would prepare me for a nursing career?

I want to go to college for Registered Nursing and maybe even further my medical career after that (maybe nurse anesthetist, or nurse practitioner.) I took a year off school to work but i want to go to college in spring to prepare me for the health care field. What are some academic classes i can take to help me start off??? I'll take advice about getting into the health care field if you know about it also.. ok thank you.
