Will my baby want to nurse more as he grows?

My baby is 4 months old and has been nursing every four hours during the day. Lately, however he has been wanting to nurse more often. Is that normal? Should I let him nurse more or should I try and make him stick with his other schedule (every 4hrs)? Could it be a growth spurt?
