How hard is it to be approved for a Stafford Loan (or any other loan) for school?

I would like to be able to go to Nursing School but cannot afford it. I don't care about which type of loan I get because no matter what it will get paid off. After I get my BSN and my RN license I plan to join the US Army Nurse Corps (Officer) and retire after 22 years of service then work as a part time RN. How hard is it to get approved for a loan? Which loans are easiest to be approved? (Also that do not require a current source of income.)
