Role of Home in Development and Growth of a Child

As a parent, from newborns to teens, you are always wondering and questioning whether your child is developing normally. Of course, you love your child and are really concerned about how he/she is progressing. Being a parent, you are watching the process of your child growing up. No one
?knows your child better than you and therefore in your child's development, you are often better than anyone else are able to see the different phases of it.The home is the place where the child takes birth. The home is the first school for a child. It is the place which plays a very significant role in the growth and development of a child. It enables the child to learn the importance of moral values, cultural values and social values etc. It is the first responsibility of the home and the parents to provide their child a friendly and co-operative environment for his proper growth and development. The parents should live amicably at home and they must be co-operative and friendly towards their child because the child learns so many important things at home. The atmosphere of the home has a great impact upon his personality. At home, the child learns how to behave in society, what to wear, what to do and how to behave with friends and relatives. The parents must be amicable at home because emotions are caught and not taught. The schools get the stuff which is already half-baked and therefore it is the responsibility of the parents that they must provide opportunities to their child through which he may become able to sublimate his instincts and develop his potentialities, interests, capabilities, attitudes and aptitudes etc. The most important responsibility of the parents is to provide their child the best and the adequate education based on the psychology of the child.Role of Home in Development and Growth of a Child
