How can I become a registered nurse?

I have been looking everywhere on how to become a registered nurse. I've called colleges and all they tell me is to call other places and find out. It's like the whole world has no idea! I don't want to get finacial aid, because I already owe some and can't withdraw anymore. Is there any certificate programs that I can take online to become one? Someone help me!
