do you have to have good highschool grades to be an rn or registered nurse?

i went to go talk to my counselor to ask her what i had to do to become and rn. And she said that my grades weren't good enough from previous years. I slacked way too much back then and now im a senior making all 90s and 80s in all classes and she said it still wasnt good enough is that true?=(
