How is a LPN job different from a CNA job at a nursing home?

I'm thinking about studying to become a LPN, but I heard that most work at nursing homes, and though I don't want to work at any of them. I know that I might have to. So what would a LPN do that a CNA wouldn't at a nursing home. Or are they all just treated the same?
And are there any LPNs out there, if so can you explain what you do? Thanks!
