Nursing School or Information Technology?

I am currently a student in college for Information Technology, specializing in Web Development. After that I want to go for Software Engineering. For some reason, I want to go to school for Nursing. I turn my back from it but it keeps calling me. I have a year left to go for Web Development. I know it is my decision but I want to know should I go for Nursing School or just stay in I.T? I have some friends who have went for I.T who say that it wasnt worth the degree. Please advise
