As of now, itâ??s been considered that social networking tools are already becoming popular in nursing school and not only that but as well in medical schools. This findings was entirely based on the new study that been published in Journal of the Medical Library Association. In this study, it was found that about 53% of nursing educational learning institutes and about 45% of its medical schools that includes the Web 2.0 tools in curricula. Aside of that, the survey also provides information that about 58% of this nursing schools have already plan to implement their social networking tool in their curricula for the upcoming year that been compared to the 50% of medical educational learning institutes.
Its been estimated that a larger portion of this nursing schools are now using or even planning to use the Web 2.0 tools for their curricula than been compared to the medical learning institutes in the country. Aside of that, itâ??s been noted that several medical respondents are now likely use some networking tools than the nursing educational learning institutes in the country. Another separate survey had already been conducted last 2007 and it was found out that several medical learners and even practitioners are ever wanting more educational training in order to become better users of this web 2.0 networking tools.
The Authors of JMLA study stated that due to the inclusion of 55 respondents, it now become even more a challenge to determine whether the usage of this Web 2.0 networking tools have already portends the growing trend towards educational learning or just merely represents the passing fad. With this Web 2.0 networking tools, it supports the educational career development of the different nursing schools in United States especially to the mere fact that the country is quite in need of additional nurses in order to cater the vast range of healthcare system in the country.
