Understanding DAR Nursing Scholarship

Many students who want to take up nursing education in the United States have been looking for possible nursing scholarships so that they can pursue their dreams to take their studies in said country as well as work there after graduation. Now, one of the famous scholarship grants for nursing students all over the globe is the Daughters of the American Revolution or what is commonly referred to as DAR.
The DAR national society or NSDAR is giving qualified students multiple scholarship opportunities. Actually this scholarship is not only limited to nursing but as well as to education, history and law. What is the best feature about this scholarship is that it is open to all qualified persons in many schools world wide regardless of their origin, race, sex and religion. This means international students are qualified to apply for this type of scholarship. It is said that all multi-year scholarships can still renew this scholarship within the four year period. The applicant, however, must be a regular student at an accredited colleges or universities. The only exception here is the American Indian scholarship which is only available for the students enrolled in vocational training course.

Interested applicants must secure a sponsorship letter from any local chapter of DAR in their locality, except for the American Indian Scholarship. If you have no knowledge about this, you can ask help from your stateâ??s chairman so that you will be guided how to locate the local chapter. You can also add a self-addressed stamp envelope which should be business size as far as the envelopeâ??s size is concerned, accompanied with your formal application letter.
The DAR scholarship is really a very helpful scholarship opportunity for interested international students because this kind of scholarship grants is no discrimination or race of any color.
