The field of women's health offers a variety of careers for just about any level of experience and education. Whether you want to be a nurse, a doctor, or an allied health professional, there could be a rewarding career in women's health for you. One physician told me that the first time she helped deliver a baby, she knew she wanted to be an obstetrician. Many professionals who work in the field get started for similar reasons - they feel that there is nothing more rewarding than helping to bring new life into the world!
There is much more involved in the field of obstetrics and gynecology than delivering babies. Many women look to their ob/gyn almost as a primary care physician, including annual check-ups, reproductive health, and more.
