How do you get into a nursing program if your grades aren't great?

My first few years in community college, I screwed around and got bad grades. Now, I'm more mature and working hard to earn better grades to finish my general education. But once I'm done with general ed, how could I possibly get into a nursing program if my previous grades were horrible
