what are the general education for community college for someone who is majoring in nursing?

i'm going to foothill college in los altos hills, california they don't have a nursing program so i decided to just take my general education then transfer to canada college to do their nursing program. problem is what are the general education classes i need to take before i start going towards my major. can anyone list the classes i'm going to need to take for general education? and what is general education?
