nurse training question?

9 years ago i started training to become a qualified nurse. unfortunately due to going through a divorce and all the problems associated with that, 3 months before i was due to take my final exams i had to leave as at the time i couldn't concentrate on essays, placements etc. since then i have worked in care homes as a healthcare asst. but feel i want to do more. could i go back and re-train? if i did would i get a bursary again? i want to do something more and feel i've thrown everything away.
