Help Wanted: Nursing Careers

Help Wanted: Nursing Careers
Thursday March 25, 2010
The Brian Lehrer show on WNYC in the New York City area produces a great series called "Help Wanted."  The series features guests who are experts in various fields of employment, and callers join into the conversation to ask questions or help answer them.  Today's episode was all about nursing careers, and I was so excited to be a part of the show!

In addition to the series of radio broadcasts, Help Wanted is also an active facebook community where people share ideas and comment on recent shows, as well as ask additional questions.  To listen to the audio regarding nurse careers as well as view comments from listeners, visit the Brian Lehrer Show online.  Some of the questions answered in the episode were:

Does age matter - am I too old to go back to school and get a job to become a nurse?
What are the job options for those with an ADN (Associate's Degree in Nursing)?
What are the pay ranges for nurses?  And what is the job market like for nurses now?
