I am nurse living in USA,but uncertified in USA. Can I get job until I certified as RN-nurse??

I recently moved to USA as permanent resident, I have nursing diploma from my home country. In USA to be a nurse passing RN-exam important. Until I take that exam i want to work as uncetified nurse. How can I do that ???
