Kill Annoying Insects And Other Pests With Bed Bug Spray

Mattresses were not always made out of the space age materials they are today. In fact, at one point they were exclusively stuffed with organic matter like straw, leaves or even Spanish moss. Well, these things had bugs living in them. Luckily we also have new ways to rid our beds of these pests like bed bug spray.

As it turns out, even though mattresses are now made of advanced materials, we still have bed bugs. In fact they can live in many places in our home, not just our beds. To this day we still use the phrase, "Don't let the bedbugs bite" when we wish someone a good night.

The bedbug is a mostly nocturnal bug that feeds of blood. There are different varieties which feed of the blood of various animals but the one we are most familiar with is Cimex Lectularius because it likes human blood. They live in warm dark places with easy access to food. They like living in beds since mattresses fit those conditions; they are warm and dark and they are near you, the food. Bed bugs and their bites are not actually dangerous but they can cause skin irritations.

Bed bugs can enter your home in numerous ways. Others people can carry them in and animals can bring them. They can travel from nearby places or you can get them on your clothes from old furniture or a hotel stay. Keeping your home clean is a good way to keep bed bugs away but it is not foolproof.

Not everyone is allergic to bed bug bites. Those that are will see the skin irritation. Those that aren't may never be aware of an infestation. Doctors often misdiagnose bed bug bites as other types of skin rashes. Bed bugs do leave waste like skin and feces. So, if you see piles of these things, you probably have bed bugs.

Other ways to detect bed bugs include using tape around your bed and on your bed to catch them when they come out. They like to bite an hour or so before sunrise so, if you wake up and don't move too much, you may be able to actually see them with a flashlight.

There are various ways to protect yourself from being bitten and to rid your home of bedbugs. You can use tape as mentioned above to catch them. You can put a mattress cover on your bed, which covers the whole mattress. They will no longer be able to get out and feed and they will die. You can call an exterminator or you can purchase a bed bug spray or dust.

There are numerous choices when it comes the bed bug spray. You have different brands and various prices in the range of around $6-$65. You can buy the spray or dust at retail stores such as Home Depot, Target or Wal-Mart. It is a good idea for anyone, whether they know that are infested, or not, to pick up some bed bug spray and a good mattress cover.

You definitely need to get some bed bug treatment if you believe you have bed bugs in your bed. Bed bug spray is available to help get rid of those pesky critters off, so have a better nights sleep!
