Job #1: Travel Nurse. Fundamentally, a travel nurse is one who works for a company that operates in response to the harsh shortage of registered nurses felt by facilities all across the country. Transient and short term, these positions are available in as many different state and facility combos as you can imagine. Travel nurse agencies typically provide things such as free, furnished, private housing, higher pay, bonuses, relocation help and above average benefits. With the big need for RNs in all fifty states, this is the original of RN travel roles.
Job #2: Army Nurse. If you're the type who wants journey and travel above and beyond what US borders can offer, then maybe the US Army Nurses corp. Has a few RN travel jobs that'd be just right . Armed forces nurses have a long and well respected history of doing good all around the planet in all circumstances, from wartime attempts to aiding those in need in the most impoverished of nations. While able to provide benefits above and beyond what any personal company can provide, the US army still faces the same struggle everyone else - a deficit of nurses.
Job #3: Traveling Medical Professional. While RNs are in great demand all over the country, they aren't the sole medical professionals both infirmaries and private instituions end up in need of. From dialysis technicians to physical doctors, RN travel jobs are not limited simply to RNs! The same travel nurse recruiters and agencies which place RNs all over the country also do the same with medical pros of all specializations ( as does the US army Nurses Corp ).
So there you have it, the top 3 roles for traveling nurses and other medical executives. While there's a lot to be said for putting down roots and getting established in a community, there's equally as much to be said for taking your talents and compassion to the places that are most in need of it. Whether you do that through personal RN travel roles or through the US military, these roles offer many benefits that you can't get by staying in one place : job experience, the opportunity to build a magnificent resume, a large assortment of medical setting to practice in, and the opportunity to see the US and perhaps even the globe.
