Why do filipinos keep doing medical related majors?

Seriously, I know so many god damn filipino doctors and nurses. Also, I know of 3 filipino girls who recently graduated and they all want to go into the nursing major!

I feel like the black sheep here for choosing the software field.
Oh I love the software field too.
