My gf is a travel nurse and she got summoned to jury duty is there a way to get out of it?

We currrently live in AZ and the her home town is in GA (were we got summoned) We both know that its our duty but with plane ticket prices so high it would leave us enough money to eat but no money for gas. ANY IDEAS
