I have a 7 year old daughter that I single parenting & currently not receiving any child support for.
I want a stable career that will enable me to both pursue my passions and provide a comfortable lifestyle for my family. However, I wonder if it would be wise to invest 6 years or more (2 completing pre-reqs, 4 of dental school) to pursue a career in denistry when my financial needs are great. Especially considering that I could complete an associate degree in nursing & become an RN in two years, work & complete a RN to BSN to MSN online & become a nurse pratitioner while gaining experience & earning a decent living.
I am seeing insight & advice especially from single parents in similar situations, those who have pursued advanced degrees as a single parent, or children of single parents who obtained professional degrees while raising them.
Thanks in advance! I look forward to reading the replies!
