Friday October 16 is National Boss Day. If you have a great boss, be sure to show your appreciation for him or her.
If your boss is less than great, you may have some options. You could take the "glass-half-full" approach, and simply be glad you HAVE a boss right now. There are millions of unemployed people nationwide who would probably be thrilled to have a bad boss, after months of unemployment.
On the other hand, if you have a really bad boss, or a very bad relationship with your boss, it can impact your entire work environment. If you absolutely need a new boss, maybe it's time to ramp up your job search efforts. Those of us who work in the healthcare industry have the luxury of being able to find a new job if needed. Or perhaps you'd like to be your own boss. At least then, you know you will have a great relationship with your boss!
Regardless of your current employment situation, have a very Happy Boss Day!
