Can Anything Be Done? New Owners Of Nursing School Complicating Things!?

I'm a student at a hospital-based nursing school in Missouri. Last January the school was sold & bought, when it came time to renew FASFA forms well, we didn't have a school code. We asked why & they said because of the new ownership they had to reapply & they reassured us it wouldn't be long. So in the mean time they told us to put in a random school code from another school & print out the results & bring it to the financial aid office. We all did that, but by summer semester still no school code which meant no money from government. So they signed all the students up through some loan company which loaned us the money to pay for tuition & they promised by fall semester it would be straightened out. Here it is October & still no word on whats going on. They are also giving us no explanation as to why such the delay. Is there anything us students can do? Many nursing students rely on grants & loans (mine being school loans) to survive, but no $$ is able to come through since they have not yet acquired their school code. Is this bad??
Just FYI, the school has actually been around since the 1800's. It is the oldest nursing school left in MO & has (or had) a GREAT reputation with a waiting list to enter & up until the buy out, they were accredited.
