ivf scheduling?

i will be going through my first ivf, and at my last apt, the nurse scheduled it. i already went through all the testing. anyway, she said my date is "april 7th". what does this date mean? is this the date of retrieval, the date i start the meds? im confused. its not the date of my period, so im not sure if i start the ivf on that day or finish it. thanks for any answers.
