What is the work schedule like for a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP)?

I will eventually become a PNP and was just wondering what the job is like. How many Hours per shift? How many days per week? How many on calls? What is the pay like (a medium to large city in the west and a hospital setting)?
