How can I get my first Certified Nursing Assistant Job?

The temporary agencies tell me to try the nursing homes. The nursing homes tell me to register with a temp agency. How in the world do you get your foot in the door? I did 10 days of clinicals and I have a reference from that place and my teacher and a few other odd jobs.
