I'm getting a nursing degree but I would like to travel outside the country and be able to work. How?

I would like to go to Japan. Is it possible for me to be able to take my nursing license to there or would I have to start over? Or could I join an organization that connected with America but allows me to live in Japan, like an embassy? Any constructive answers would be awesome. Thanks.
